5. "Laundry-to-Landscape" Graywater System
Install a Graywater Laundry-to-Landscape system that diverts water from your washing machine to your landscape and receive a rebate! This project can be Do-It-Yourself or installed by a trained professional and can save about 6,600 gallons or more per year.
6. Online Shopping Cart
Receive free water conservation devices such as WaterSense-certified showerheads, high-efficiency sink aerators, and literature to help save water in your homes and/or businesses through Valley Water’s eCart program.
7. Rain Barrels and Cisterns
Receive a Rainwater Capture Rebate for installing rain barrels and cisterns to collect rainwater from existing downspouts. Collect and save about 8 gallons of water per year for every gallon of storage capacity.
9. High-efficiency sprinklers (nozzles/bodies)
Replace conventional sprinkler bodies and nozzles with high-efficiency equipment and receive an Irrigation Equipment Upgrade Rebate including but not limited to WaterSense-certified sprinkler bodies. Save about 1.5 gallons per day per high-efficiency sprinkler installed!

Install a qualified submeter that measures individual units’ water use and receive a Submeter Rebate. Adding submeters can reduce water use by 15-30%, or about 18,600 gallons per year per submeter!

Schedule a free Water Wise Outdoor Survey with an irrigation expert and learn how you can reduce your outdoor water use. Surveys are available to single-family, multi-family, and commercial properties with landscapes under ½ acre in Santa Clara County. Save about 8,300 gallons in the first year (savings vary based on recommendations and following up on maintenance or upgrade opportunities).
