water-efficient plants appropriate for our climate and have trained
staff to help with your questions. Below is a starting list to help
you seek out water-wise plants and materials. Being mindful of water conservation takes place both in the home and out of it. In this case, right out the doorstep and into your garden. Home gardens can often be one of the most taxing sources on our water supply. However, nurseries and public demonstration gardens around the Bay Area offer residents examples of how to be water-wise (also known as xeriscaping) by conserving water and improving local water quality - all while maintaining a beautiful garden.
